The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios achieves two stars for adult occupant protection

The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios achieves two stars for adult occupant protection and two stars for child occupant protection in Global NCAP’s latest round of #SaferCarsForIndia crash test results.

It is surprising that in the 21st century global car makers are not offering 3 points belts for all occupants with standard ISOFIX anchorages. Lap belts in the middle position make it impossible to properly and safely install a child restraint system and offer a much lower protection than a three point belt for adults. Airbags are not a substitute for seatbelts, passengers must always wear seatbelts.

great job from you guys at global ncap, you are really helping thousands of people make a valid safe car buying decision. In future I would love to see more tests like side crash, pole crash etc as it would help the manufacturers to improve their cars on that front as well.

This was highly expected considering the recent crash tests of Hyundai cars. When i20 in Africa couldn't score more than 2 stars then this is a car that sits below i20 and added that this is an Indian variant too.

I am a proud owner of 2016 model Hyundai Grand i10 sportz CNG ..it scored 4 stars then but now its very shocking that it scored only 2 stars...not expected from Hyundai . In Hatchback segment Grand i10 Nios is the costliest amongst other rivals ..still compromising on safety. I booked Tiago over Nios .
