Natural and Inclusive Playspaces

Play is essential to a child's development. In particular, creating opportunities for imaginative, unfocused play in a natural setting can have huge benefits for children.

Our webinar is introduced by clinical psychologist Dr. David Coleman, who tells us about the importance of play for children. David has become best known in Ireland as the presenter ofthe hit RTÉ television series Families in Trouble, 21st Century Child, Teens in the Wild and Families.

The webinar is presented by Laurence Colleran who works as a Senior Executive Parks Superintendent in South Dublin County Council. Laurence is a landscape architect and keen outdoor enthusiast. Since 2014 Laurence has been involved in developing South Dublin’s Natural Playspace Programme, delivering over 30 additional playspaces around the County
