Tequisquiapan, Mexico is a Pueblo Mágico (Magic Town) located about 1 hour's drive away from Queretaro. It makes a great day trip for trying locally made cheese and wine.

Today, we're making the one-hour drive from Queretaro city to the nearby magic town (pueblo magico) called Tequisquiapan. This town is known for its artisenal cheese, wine, and local products. The town is quaint and walkable, making it perfect for casual exploring. You can also visit the local vineyards and cheese-making facilities just a short drive away. We decided to check out some artesanías markets in town, try a cheese plate at Rio 33 restaurant, and explore on foot. Hope you enjoy our Tequisquiapan, Mexico vlog!

Very enjoyable. It always amazes me how much pride the Mexicans have in their stores and restaurants with the cleanliness and organization and most make you feel like family.

This old guy likes your stories very much. I subscribed, and these two are the only U Tube stories I watch. Now lets get ready for a Mexican wedding for you two. Your never going to find another Maddie so lets get going. When I was you guys age me and my wife traveled through Mexico, and you would have been thrilled to see it thirty years ago. There was no highways. Just country roads.

The lady in the store was so generous with the samples for you two! Looked like you bought a nice assortment of the cheeses from her!🧀
The chz/meat/fruit/nut tray at the restaurant was spectacular!🍇🧀👍🤤

Estacionamiento “en batería” is when you park side by side. As opposed to one behind the other

While you are in Tequisquiapan take a short day trip to an Opal Mine Quarry and learn how to find opals (and keep them!). It's a fun pet-friendly kid-friendly excursion called Héctor Montes Excusiones a Las Minas. BTW... that cheese shop you went to is my favorite cheese shop in all of México! I am happy to see you found it too.

You are such dear people, your enthusiasm and love for México is seldom seen, I think you appreciate it more than us mexicans.

My grandmother in Tijuana used to always keep Rompope in her house. And of course she would let me sneak a drink of it when my mom wasn't looking.

Saludos Maddy y Jordan. Love you guys!

I lived in queretaro 3 years and something i noticed is that the city is full of fancy people, since ciudad de mexico is full of people and of course pollution the people started moving to the next nicest city with is queretaro, so lets say that business man is living in cdmx while his family wife, kids, etc are living in queretaro, or they got their summer houses over there, thats one of the reasons why queretaro is full of big houses and nice arquitechture.

I spent so much time in Tequis when I lived in Mexico. A major CDMX weekend spot.

“En batería “ parking is to park the car with the front towards the sidewalk, not like on parallel parking which is the car aligned with the street, also means that the cars are parked with a slight angle not straight toward the sidewalk, usually the lines can guide you on that.

Beautiful place. Always look forward to your weekend videos. Now that we sold our house in Merida, we are foot loose and fancy free…well in Mexico, anyways. Time to stretch our legs and start touring Mexico again. Can’t wait to return hopefully this winter.

What a cute little town! The outer part of the church looks very unusual in design. 🌺

That looks like a wonderful town with all my favorite things, wine and cheese! Maddie I totally get how you are so excited about finally being able to buy the gorgeous pottery for your new home. Can't wait to do it myself one day.

"en batería" for parking just means that it's not parallel parking hehe it's just the normal side by side parking
