I've been trying to revive my dad's old dell laptop that has this problem because i have to use it in college and I was having a hard time trobleshooting it, and then i found this video, it is very helpful and now it spring back to life again! Thank you :)

Thank you sooo much i just fixed it but my labtop only had 1 ram and there was a empty spot for another but I’m sooo happy it worked I just took it out and cleaned it a little and now it’s back on!!

We got it!! Thank you so much for this tip. Turns out one stick of RAM on my inspiron had a little corrosion on the connection port along with some gunk on the mother board so I used a drop of WD 40 on a small acid brush. Cleaned up everything, swapped out the sticks like you said, all checked out good.
