Application of Herons Formula in Finding Areas of Quadrilaterals - Class 9 - Ex. 12.2 - Q 5 - NCERT
A rhombus shaped field has green grass for 18 cows to graze. If each side of the rhombus is 30 m and its longer diagonal is 48 m, how much area of grass field will each cow be getting?
#Solution - #Heron’s Formula gives us technique to find out area of a triangle without knowing the height of it provided we know the length of all three sides.
In all these videos on #Heron’s Formula from class 9th chapter 12 I have always focused on explaining the basics and then solving the questions. My way of solving question will always refer back to the basics explained previously so that students can make the connect between basics and application of them.
Let’s now start about the Heron’s Formula from class 9th chapter 12:
#Heron’s Formula gives us technique to find out area of a triangle without knowing the height of it provided we know the length of all three sides.
#Area of a triangle = Square Root (s (s - a) (s - b) (s – c) )
Here a, b and c stands for the length of sides of the triangles.
In this chapter will find out the area of different shapes with the help of heron’s formula.
