Every time you read and highlighted new features and updates i kept saying to myself "wait, this wasn't in the game initially ? holy cow"
No wonder the game wasn't liked for all this time. I mean just not including live observers and battle replays is UNTHINKABLE in releasing an RTS game.

Unfortunately, this looks like one more case of "modern high budget gaming" where the winning move is to ignore a new game, let the people who paid full price on release beta test it, and then, 3 years latter get it with all content and patches at a fraction of the price.

Really hate how this has become a thing after NMS days.

I feel like I can never forgive Relic after Dawn of war 3, that scarred me for life. Then I saw the reviews of this on release and I knew Relic was cooked

Seriously though this trend needs to stop, if youre going to release an unfinished game then just own it. Dont drop the game, spend months or years "fixing" it then when you finish the game claim it as some triumph for the fans when you really just did the bare minimum.

Unless I see them actually make the Italians their own faction, I'm still not gonna give them the benefit of the doubt. You don't understand how frustrating it was being given the run around on the forums for over a year as people were asking about it, only to reveal they were being "represented" as bonus units to the DAK. And I don't understand those that try to ask for nations like France or Japan while seeing how the Italians were treated in their own theatre.

I bought it on launch and put in about 3 hours before shelving it. Came back to it because the new DLC was being pushed on Steam and I gave it a shot. Much better game now and I'm really enjoying it.

It's almost like if they had just included these improvements in the initial launch this would have been an RTS hit instead of limping along hoping to turn things around.

On Discord the devs have reiterated multiple times their focus is on new battlegroups and not new factions.

“Two battlegroups can be claimed for free.” No. No battlegroups for Fire and Steel were free, you need to buy the DLC to get all of them. I think you meant the Stealth and Stronghold DLC.

Men of War and Company of Heroes are my fav RTS of all time. Glad to see one of them is turning the tables. Now I can only hope for a World In Conflict 2 and I will fie happy.
