Thank you!! I am in teachers of Tomorrow and they throw you into teaching kind of sink or swim style. I have a strong background in art but I'm struggling with classroom management. Your channel is making me feel better and capable. I am alone as a special in the school. Thank you for helping me.

thank you for this! Your advice to drink water reminded me to set my reminder to go to the bathroom every morning before my first class.🙃

I really have enjoyed watching your videos and all the wonderful advice even as a teacher of 10 years. Well, more like eight-ish when you throw in Covid that totally threw everything out the window for two years. My question to you is: I love the seating charts and I wanted to incorporate the numbers for each seat however, teaching kindergarten through six. There's different amounts in all seven of my classes. One of the key things I do is split up the boys and girls for the most part, and have roughly equal amounts of people at every table as much as possible. But if I have all my tables numbered sequentially, and I fill up all of my tables with three but SOME of my classes might have four at a table that throws the sequential number system off. How do I solve that problem? I hope that makes sense. Maybe the numbers wouldn't work but I really wanted to try them. It might be something obvious, but I can't wrap my head around it. Thanks for any help. Hope your school year is going well so far. 🥰

do you have special ed students? I have Cerebral Palsy and when I was in school (90s/2000s) they wouldn't let me take art after 4th grade, assumably 'cause some of the drawing was hard to keep up with, they never really said why, but I was moved to music class. it's probably easier with little kids but I was curious what lessons a teacher would have if there was a special needs kid? luckily my mom filled my love of painting lol
