We Are Not Under the Law

The law was a shadow, the true substance and reality of Christ. So to say that we're under a part of the law is to do something that the New Testament writers never did. They don't break the law down into three parts. James 2 tells us whoever shall keep the whole law yet stumbles in one point is guilty of it all. Paul echoes this same thought in Galatians 3, showing us that the law is all or nothing and we're not under the law. Furthermore, the law arouses sin, Romans 7 says. So you see the clear picture, we are NOT under the law. This is why Titus 2:11 and 12 says it's God's grace that teaches us to live Godly and to say no to sin.
