Welcome to the Space-Time Bridging Practice.
This is an exercise, that I credit to Neuroscientist Dr. Andrew Huberman, from his podcast 55 The Science of Setting and Achieving Goals, so for the full details do go there.
So this is an exercise he gives that helps you to train your brain, to train your focus, to align with the various aspects of Goal Setting.
When you set your goal it requires, both long-term, big vision (hypothetical BIG VISION) as well as setting up smaller goals, daily and weekly goals and milestones etc.
Now – The big vision goal is a different cognitive function than the smaller goals.
And this practice will help you by using your breath and your vision (your actual vision, not hypothetical vision) I E your eyesight -- to train your brain to better function when toggling between your big vision goal and all the little daily and weekly goals to get there.
