Hamilton fire chief out following investigation, misconduct allegations

The chief of Hamilton's Volunteer Fire Department is out nearly three months after members of his own force voiced concerns in writing over alleged misconduct.

Former Chief Brad Mohn resigned last Friday, after a letter came out leveling complaints against Mohn dating back to at least 2022.

A no confidence vote from the Hamilton Volunteer Fire Fighter Association served as the catalyst behind the departure. The association sent a letter on July 12, detailing allegations of misconduct.

Minutes from a Hamilton Committee of the Whole on July 23 noted Mohn was on “administrative leave.”
