After driving in R mode, the car behaves much more as expected. Far more responsive. Standard mode is a bit lethargic but probably a smart decision for the average daily driving.

The R35 made history, it's a LEGENDARY modern classic car ALREADY.

I own a Silver 2011 GTR (currently makes 950 WHP, and a 1992 White Nissan Skyline GTR (R32) that makes about 680 WHP. The R35 and my R32 puts a pure smile on my face because these cars are straight up for performance. I also own a Model Y and people think that EV performance is insane, try driving a 950 WHP GTR that starts to make full boost at 3500 RPM all the way to 7500 RPM, so the power curve is INSANE!!

I'm one of those people who think that the GTR is still perfectly fine, this car isn't meant for your average joe who wants all this fancy technology, it's more geared towards hardcore drivers who want max performance.

the r35 is old, but it still has a lot of presence in person. The bayside blue is a gorgeous color too.

Also damn, you live near craftsports? they are a cool dealer thats from japan. for a while, they sponsored a nissan gt500 racecar in supergt as well.

If only it had that driver feel and feedback . I had 2008 for 7 years and cloth seats more comfortable that later 2015 I had for 2 years
It’s beautifully styles and I really noticed it when hand washing 😆
Super reliable and takes off like rocket

Ah, drive comes later. More to look forward to (I don´t watch the videos in one go).
My fathers schoolmate had a GT-R and later he bought the Nismo. Drove in it as a passenger two times. Really enjoyed it! It´s already a big achievement to get the car in Germany (now it´s discontinued)!! We never get such cars here. Only the German or European ones. 😴
And don´t forget that the round headlights were always with the (Skyline) GT-R.

I’m a Nissan/Infiniti guy but Lexus holds the crown when it comes to build quality and craftsmanship. No comparison. Ex. the LC500.

I’m convinced Nissan has become so broke from low sales of their normal cars that it’s the reason why they haven’t made an R36 yet and why the new Z isn’t so great. They can’t afford good R&D for now. They’ve lost a lot of money. Hopefully the next Murano (which there are spy shots of) ditches the JATCO CVT. And that the new QX80 and Armada are genuinely good offers. They’re making a tiny bit of a comeback with the new Pathfinder ditching the CVT, so they still have a chance if they keep going like that.

Kirk, it's the Gen Xers born in the early to late 70s and early 80s who created the whole JDM scene back in mid 90s and early 00s so saying it's mainly Millennials who desire and lust over JDM finest is incorrect. Fast & Furious only made it mainstream. JDM had a huge following way before that.

A Lucky* owner will have access to a retired press fleet GTR 😂.

I'd still consider it if I could afford it

I'd import a used 2024 from Japan and daily it. A T-Spec In the millennium jade with green interior. We stopped selling them in AU a few years back. Something about not meeting side impact standards.

I wish the Supra, were the same size as the R35. I would definitely reconsider buying one. It would be excellent if they redesigned it with a lift back / glass top roof ( similar like Scion TC) and offered a rear wiper . New all around design, power up engine, add a newer modern up to year " infor entrainment radio" ...
