Growth? There has been no actual growth in Canada since 2000. A de-industrialized economy, plummeting standard of living, near zero innovation, a nation of virtue signalling pretenders, a mining sector that barely exists and a real estate bubble built upon money printing. When the bubble bursts, coming soon, expect depopulation and significant social chaos as the rage explodes when homeowners have their mortgages pulled or end up in negative equity. People will either be forced to walk away or the bank will take it, even if they have 99% equity. Yes, people, they are planning to take it ALL.

Canada does NOT produce many good paying jobs. The US has larger volume of better paying jobs. We have alot of people coming to Canada and competing with students and seniors for minimum wage jobs and part-time jobs!

why is this happening. They increased the Capital Gains inclusion rate to 66%. Now high income Canadians have no incentive to work harder.

I believe your right about low skilled people that are immigrating to Canada. The other problem is we do have some professional skilled trades who can't get past the red tape to work in their profession. My neighbor was a doctor in Europe and could not get a job as a doctor in Canada.
