To be honest the real reason why most people buy fake lego is because in other countries like the philippines, finding real lego is a pain, and even if you found some, OMG it will cost you a ton, its expensive as hell, more expensive than your hospital bills, so they resort to fake ones, now this video talks about fake Lego companies using lead but that was years ago and today It surprises me that fake lego can get better like they have sets like squid game, among us, and many mores that aren't just ripping off the ones that lego makes, so yeah fake lego is more of a hit or miss, don't diss them, there's a reason why lego didn't copyright strike them, mainly because they knew that their lego products aren't accessible in other countries and not just them being too rich and popular to give a care about fake lego brands...

In this case yeah, but knock off doesn't equal bad quality. Gobricks amongst other brands are beating LEGO in durability of parts and especially minifigs and also have way better scratch resistance of clear plastic. We should push LEGO to improve.

Imo I use fake legos for some custom stuff. But my experience with fake lego is that it doesn't break as easily unlike real lego. I've had 2 official lego minifigures (Frodo with the green shirt & What If Spider-Man) and they cracked in a month or less (frodo's head/neck has a piece chipped off) while the knock off I had of my other figures didn't break as easily in 1 month.

So just so we’re clear lead isn’t that dangerous, and it only affects upon ingestion or inhalation. As long as it’s not on accessible walls or small items children would commonly put in their mouth, or would touch regularly and then their mouths you’re fine… oh wait!
