Led by *Dr. Beena Pillai*, the lab works on understanding the role of non coding RNAs in the nervous system, polyglutamine disorders and earthworm regeneration!✨

🔬 *Key Research Areas:*🔬

*Role of inherited non coding RNAs:* The lab studies individual RNAs in the oocytes of zebrafish to understand its effects on early development, neurogenesis, adult behaviour and susceptibility to disease.🧬🔬

*Polyglutamine expansion in TBP":*
The lab has cloned and expressed polyQ-TBP in a non pathogenic and pathogenic form that they compare in mouse neuronal cell lines.❇️🕳️

*Earthworm Regeneration:* The lab has sequenced the genome and mapped the changes in the transcriptome at various times during regeneration in earthworms.🪱🧬

*ncRNA Biomarkers:* Tye lab works with clinicians and collaborators to identify miRNA biomarkers in human samples.🔬✨
