I do my work, I get paid. That’s the agreement. I’m not being paid to enjoy my job, I’m being paid to do it.

I need health insurance and a roof over my head, and am learning new skills to make more money in a different field. You better believe I dream all day of something better.... just like someone making 10 bucks an hour is dreaming of MY current job that will soon be vacant. It's called reality.

And employers steal from you with low ass wages even with a bachelor's degree

Well this was stupid. As long as you do the job you're paid for, you're stealing in no way, shape, or form. I absolutely agree people should strive to find a job they love, but to say not liking your job is "stealing" is absolutely absurd by any standards.

I dream all day about getting another job. It doesn't affect the work I do or how much I get done. I haven't stolen anything from my employer. I just wish I was treated more fairly in the company.

If they are doing their job that's fine. Its a free country we don't have thought control

If I hate my job and constantly want to escape that job it does not follow that I don't do exemplary work. I show up, I do better than most and I go home. I am paid to act in a certain way and I do well in that role. I am not stealing anything; matter of fact it literally takes me 12 minutes to log into all my systems before I start my job so I am giving my job an unpaid hour a week just in preparation to do the job.

Your thoughts are private, as long as you do work they are you paying for, it in NOT stealing.

Everyone should want a better job. Life is about improvement. Why should I stay with one job my whole life and never want to improve.

What the what?!?!?! I've had jobs in the past that I didn't like. Just because I had thoughts in my mind that I didnt like the job & wanted something better, it doesn't mean that I was STEALING from my employer! I still carried out all of my job requirements and them some because it is in my nature to do so. This statement you are making is absolutely ludicrous!

I work in IT/Infosec, I usually don't have time to daydream. The interesting part, even crap jobs I've had in my lifetime, have significantly improved my skillset. I worked at a data center known for how often something would fail once a month, network, power, etc. Guess what, when I went to other places, and someone would suggest doing something, I had the experience to say no, that's bad idea, and here's why. Even when people said it's impossible for X to happen, I would show them how it will happen. All experiences have the potential to be good.

He trying to stress Practice contentment but not be complacent

Check out the several reddit threads that have been created where people discuss what they get away with at work. It's glorious.

I think everyone is operating on a few very loose definitions on what daydreaming is. Nobody gets to specific about what this study means by that
