For those want to improve this app after the tutorial, I have a suggestion: Think of it like, as if you build this app for your family members where they can keep track of their expenses in one app. Try to add different charts for analytics, as shown in the video, also give the option for them to sort by month. With this you could have a unique project where it solves a real-world problem for your family🙂 I did something similar in my freshman year, and it was an interesting project to talk about in the interviews. Along with projects you can also consider making separate tutorial videos for more detail understanding for eg. like here graphql was used or maybe a tutorial about testing react or nextjs applications via different testing libraries.

I think this is a great project. But, you could make it more impactful in daily use cases by updating the "Savings" amount(let say 10, 000) also. I mean, when you add any expense(let say, rent for 5000), then the "Savings" amount should get updated by 10, 000 - 5000 = 5000. And, similarly when you make transaction for investment or something else. I think you got my point.
