Don’t listen to these shanks meat riders 💀🤡 Shanks being stronger than Mihawk makes absolutely no sense, at the very best they are equals but it’s been stated that Mihawk is the strongest swordsman in title and actuality. Shanks has never been shown fighting with any other style but a sword. Plus, Mihawk’s bounty is exclusively due to his fighting ability, he has no crew or territories. Great video💯

I think since Shanks is more popular fans lean more towards Shanks being stronger even though Mihawk is stronger.


I'll just say this. Shanks has been shown now using conquerors feats and named attacks. Mihawk has yet to show us.

It has always been a pattern for all shounen manga that all tremendously powerful and significant side characters true skills and strength are always being hold by the author up until it is the right time for them to showcase what those characters are truly capable of and Mihawk is one of those characters. It's not Mihawk's lack of feats for 1000+ chapters is the problem, it's the One Piece fandom especially Shanks fanboys who can't seems to comprehend or has a comprehension problem with regards to Oda's narration. Yeah Shanks pulled a haki wi/fi by drawing his sword halfway and channeled the haki through his blade and from my point of view that is a feat of a skilled swordman, and don't compare real world swordsman in One Piece verse because in One Piece verse skilled swordsman are masters of advanced forms of hakis(conqueror, armament and observation) and Zoro is already sharpening those 3 forms of hakis to the fullest in order to challenge and equal Mihawk in a fight. So if you said "Mihawk is more skilled and Shanks is stronger because Shanks is a Haki-Man and not a swordsman" well that statement is just plain stupid and came from a fanboy who uses the "Haki-Man and not a swordsman" term as a coping mechanism in order for them to deny the fact that Mihawk is more skilled/stronger than Shanks because for all we know Oda keep hinting/stating on his verse that Mihawk is the world strongest swordsman both in title and actuality in One Piece verse he even went ahead and revealed on recent chapters that Mihawk's skills as a swordsman far surpasses that of Shanks, imagine if Shanks as a swordsman can channel haki through his blade what more do you think Mihawk can do if he finally decides to get serious and use his haki also? If feats is the only thing that matters for you to acknowledge the strength of a character and just plain ignore the narrative hint and sense of the author then we can all agree that Usopp and Chopper are much stronger compare to Imu, Dragon, Mihawk, Rocks, Garling, Kong and Goroseis because all these characters lack feats. Like I said Oda is holding Mihawk's power for a reason and I believe we will all have a glimpse of what the world strongest swordsman's power in One Piece verse in the final saga.

However Mihawk is a man who confidently pulled up on the red hair pirates without a crew

Shanks entire crew was prepared to jump into battle against Mihawk when Mihawk came to Shanks not only Shanks himself being highly on guard.

Mihawk showed zero fear being gunned down by shanks entire crew so i don't see why Shanks even could be stronger.

You have to completely ignore a main characters goals in order to even make the claim Shanks is stronger. Luffy wants to have a crew better than Shanks crew. However this is not Luffy's end goal. Luffy's final dream is not to beat Shanks, nothing about his dream is even about being Stronger than Shanks.

Luffy wants to have a better Crew than Shanks, he wants to be a better pirate than Shanks. Which yes, Luffy should definitely be above Shanks by the end but the thing between Luffy & Shanks has nothing to do with strength.

In comparison to Zoro, who's dream is to become the world's strongest swordsman by defeating Mihawk

In which Mihawk is a direct rival to Shanks, as well as a character who waits for someone stronger than Shanks, his rival, to defeat him.

Meaning, if the duels were unsettled with Mihawk being declared the better Swordsman, then Shanks gaining more strength as an emperor would direct contrast Mihawk becoming the World's Greatest Swordsman. Mihawl was famous before the great pirate error but we dont know how famous he was back then. Its been twelve years since the two had battle

Mihawk becoming the greatest training all his skills at the top with no one left to prove a challenge.

They have Shanks father lmao, who yes is old but shanks dad is still gonna be cracked. The Godknights even if they are old will still be really strong and was also a big part of God's valley.

I doubt Emma is Zoros final sword, hes been carrying two of his blades around for quite awhile, If Zoro is to ever prove his own Strength as the Strongest he is going to have to start fighting really powerful enemies.

We just got a swordsman goressei who welds the same kind of blade as zoro. It would make sense to me that if Zoro was going to prove to himself that he was ready to challenge The greatest swordsmans and achieve his goal that hed fight someone like the goressei who welds the same kind of sword that Zoro does in his right hand. Shanks goes to stitch to the goressei, for Shanks knows how strong they are and does not play games around them. Shanks, while shanks is probably above any individual member of the Gorosei it probably isnt by much.

Mihawk however, despite most likely being greatly informed about the goressei due to his relationship to Shanks still feels bored and without a challenge still waiting for a rival stronger than his last to beat him.


Mihawk, just Shanks should be above an individual member of the goressei, however it should be by a little bit more than what Shanks is stronger than them.

While yes Shanks is gonna be really strong, Shanks is scared of Blackbeard. he tried to stop ace from going after blackbeard because shanks is terrified of that man. Mihawk sat in the same room as Blackbeard with his legs on the table not even interested in his presence in the room despite this being the man who put 3 scars on Shanks eye

Mihawk wants a peaceful life, he longs for someone to be stronger than him so he may live peacefully.

Idk, shanks being stronger doesnt make much sense to me, Shanks goals has nothing to do with strength, or at least not anymore, maybe you could disagree that in that past while he was a member of Rogers crew maybe he wanted to be the strongest but rn Shanks most definitely has no interest in the title strongest so its very unlikely hed be stronger than Mihawk

I mean, I haven't mentioned that Shanks lost an arm or got scared by blackbeard despite being on guard with his entire crew and still getting scared by Blackbeard. Bad argument of bringing up Zoro's goals to having to go after Shanks regardless of being stronger than Mihawk or not. Sadly, the “swordsman” aspect of Shanks can be ignored due to this fact:

Due to his handicap, Shanks is not considered as a worthy opponent capable of taking the title. I also suspect that like Roger, Shanks might’ve used guns before like in the games. Swordsmen don’t seem to like to fight other “swordsmen” who uses other weapons like Zoro vs King, for example. In the world of swordsmen, there seems to be a bias against handicapped people, and perhaps the same with female swordsmen or people who use something else other than blades. Sure, he can fight the latter, but swordsmen like Mihawk won't consider them as having the right to take the WSS title as it seems only reserved for other swordsmen.

This also answers the question whether or not Zoro challenges Shanks in the future after beating Mihawk. The answer is no! As Zoro will most likely have the same sentiments as his former master/rival.

For how Mihawk got the title, NO! He did not get it from Shanks. As somebody who only has 1B, Shanks is no way the former WSS title holder. Mihawk also probably has that same amount during his rivalry with Shanks so Mihawk most likely got the WSS title after Shanks stopped being his rival, perhaps during his Shichibukai days. Mihawk most likely got the title from KILLING somebody else. That’s right! People forgot that a duel for the WSS title is to the death as Zoro was ready to kill or die in Mihawk's hands. With Mihawk only sparing him and training him because he's not ready yet.

During the marineford arc Mihawk stated that he had no choice but to go all out against luffy, Mihawk going all out had all his attacks evaded by a pre timeskip luffy who didn’t even have haki. When shanks pulled up to the war Mihawk didn’t want any smoke, I don’t wanna hear anyone talking about how fraudhawk the painter who paints his sword black when no one is looking is stronger than shanks the hakiman

Btw, this might be headcanon as of now, but i'm 99% sure this is what happened...
1) Shanks dueled Mihawk for the title..
2) The battles were not conclusive..
3) Shanks went for the Gomu Gomu and gave it to Luffy and lost his arm..
4) Mihawk is still grumpy because their duels were not truly settled, because Shanks lost his dueling main hand..
5) Shanks increased his skill in his haki rather than swordsmanship..
Edit towards your point: Mihawk is Zoro's final goal as PK is Luffy's final goal..

It makes sense for shanks to be stronger than Mihawk because shanks is Luffy's goal and Mihawk is zoros goal it doesn't make sense for for Zoro to surpass Luffy at the end of the series I think shanks will ask to fight Luffy so he can give back the straw hat and prove his strength this means that shanks is Luffy's final battle and Mihawk is Zoro's it makes perfect sense for shanks to be stronger or get this the two are equal.
