Dear Mr. Saint,
What are your suggestions for people who want to print color? Surely a man of your magnanimous magnitude would have an answer to such a convoluted quandary? Thank you for being such an ethereal presence for the masses. Jim Jones got nothing on you!

Hey Marc & Dan - thanks so much for this information. I have been thinking about doing test books since 2006 when I did my first Blurb book. I put so much effort into it, but I was very disappointed with the book because many of the images were too dark! Including the cover :(

Having a film/darkroom background, I was thinking there must be a way to proof the images/book to make sure everything is just right before you do the final version - just like a photographic print. Up until now, I hadn't seen any information on proofing in Blurb/doing a test book. But now I know! I will be sure to do some tests on the book I'm working on now before I get the final version printed. Cheers!

I'm sure this info is somewhere in one of your videos and I've been looking online but no luck yet. Do I need to get model releases from people I'm photographing for a new series I've begun (and plan on creating a book with these photos)? It's a portrait series. AND do I need to customize my model releases with specific language about usage in a book? Or is my standard model release that gives me the right to do (almost) anything - all I need? Many thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Here is a tip about the relation between (standard) font sizes on screen and printing: the measured height of the tallest straight character (e.g. H or L or I) x 4 equals to font sizes on screen. So for example, let’s say you measured an L (with a ruler) and it’s 3mm. That means the used font size 12pt .
