Try disengaging the lock with your thumb, like you would a Triad lock. I found that was the most comfortable way for me with the Engage 3"

I've had the S35VN/G10 version for a good while; It's served me well. Love the ATLAS lock.

Thank you for the video. At top as usual. Two points. A fixed blade is usualy stronger than folding knife. But Cold steel is following just after. Shark lock is very strong 💪 But the Tri-ad lock is stronger 💪💪 I own both 😃😉

Im not a knife person but it always seemed like the jean short and tank top ppls were the folder guys 😂, that being said, my favorite folder is the cold steel sr1 tanto 😎

I don't know what people do with their folders that makes them need a super strong lock? Most of my folders have a frame or liner lock, but I've never had a problem. For really heavy work there are fixed blades, and depending on the knife you can even baton until your arm falls off (maybe an axe would be the right tool in that case!?). My motto: the right tool for the job.

I love mine! Although I think I wish I got the full metal atlas, as it’s a lot smaller and easier to edc. Also according to cold steel’s testing, the atlas lock is stronger than the triad.

I really do wish the engage had some jimping on the blade too. Otherwise I love mine!

Very interesting knife. I've carried a recon 1 for yrs because it just takes all the abuse. 1 day i might change it out if something comes along, i can afford and feel confident it can handle how I use the recon 1.
