First time I heard this was at a farm after my friends funeral. Dave and I were old deadheads and tour buds for 20 plus years. After the funeral, all his friends and family gathered at someones farm and had a picnic in the warm spring sun. Of course rhere was a lot a Dead playing and story telling. Daves 15 year old son then gets up and cranked this song. Joyful, beautiful. The song had us smiling and dancing and I couldn't have thought of a better send off for Dave than this. Eithout fail, brings a smile to my heart everytime i hear it.

I remember listening to multiple audio versions of this and thinking "Why does the crowd always cheer really loud when they start the round section?" and then I watched this video and saw that it's because Mike is solo in a spotlight.

I love how people in the jam scene love their bands but ALSO love the individual members of the band so much.
