The biggest thing here is that Ruby eventually said screw it and kissed Otis in public whereas Maeve only does it when no one around.

They were so cute. I felt so sorry for Ruby because at first he is like: I want to get to know you better and the minute she opens up to him he is like nope.

I remember seeing people at first saying Ruby bad for Otis she making him change. But as the season went on she ended up loving Otis for him. She let him dress like Otis and introduce her to her dad and by the way her dad kept gushing about Otis you can tell she really cared for Otis. But like Eric said when Otis said he didn't say I love you back to Ruby. Otis you only love Maeve. Maeve will always be the bump in the road stopping Otis from loving someone else.

Ruby didn't even get that much of time to spend with Otis but she already felt for him, opened up herself to him. If they unnecessarily didn't break them up we maybe could see more of ruby and how their relationship develops. The whole thing between Ruby and Otis seemed hurry!!!!

I had been on the Maeve x Otis ship for two seasons but just one episode out of Season 3 made me completely jump ship. Jesus christ -- if they weren't planning on making them end game, or at least last a whole season, they shouldn’t have made Ruby loveable. She's a total mean girl, yes, but they showed off her vulnerable side and season 2 already established her story. I think the scene with her showing Otis her house and her dad, basically letting him in when she did that with no one else (not even her peers), just made Otis such a huge asshole for not even fighting for their relationship when HE was the one who instigated that he would like to get to know her better. Dumb move, writers. Dumb move. After Ruby, I hardly felt anything for his whole thing with Maeve. And they didn't even dwell much on Ruby anymore after the bus scene. No interaction between them even when Ruby fought off Hope (which I think also has smth to do w Otis aside from fighting for their right to be heard and stuff).

The scene with her dad is so sweet. The dad is a great guy going through a very difficult stage in his life yet he is so focused on making Ruby happy and showing Otis how much he means to her. The scene at the living room was really sweet.

I feel proud when Ruby's father said, yah! I finally get to meet the famous Otis. It hits different. After all the things that 16yo boy faced the boy in his age should never face.
