In this video, I discuss how sound money, free markets, and corporations can work together to coordinate and scale human activity and productivity.

The effectiveness of corporations when it comes to raising capital and then designing, building, and distributing complex modern items like computers and aircraft suggests that there will still be stocks on a Bitcoin standard.

At the same time, it's important to remember that stocks are not neutral, censorship-resistant p2p money that you can send to anyone or move anywhere in a brain wallet.

Rather, stocks are paper assets that are at the mercy of company management, the board, and myriad operational, regulatory, and jurisdictional risks.

Totally agree, bitcoin will make stocks great again. When your money is deflationary, you don’t have to invest for your pension. You don’t have to invest against inflation. That way, a lot of money will stay out of the stock market. This will bring down stock prices which means better P/E ratios, better dividends ánd less bubbles.

It's actually a good thing that bitcoin is not always outperforming everything. Otherwise there wouldn't be enough time to stack sats. I could never imagine building my bitcoin stack as it is now. I'm grateful for all the dips. But yes, I wouldn't be very happy if it went down to 15k again:-)

People are so deeply embedded in the existing clown world of 60/40 portfolios and thinking 2% inflation is ok ... It's going to take time to deprogram enough of them to move the adoption needle significantly.

Thanks for your videos, Matthew. As you opened my eyes more to Bitcoin I've realized that I may have been supporting a scam (crypto) this whole time. I work in web3 and am considering a career change solely for the fact that it doesn't seem ethical for me to continue work in this field. I want to do what's right.

Bitcoin does not kill stocks. It lowers the average valuation of the whole market, which is a bad thing short term, but a good thing long term. Once the overall market valuation is down because of Bitcoin, the long term return of the whole market is increased by a few percentage points per year until the end of humanity.
