My ex-wife worked as the assistant manager of a cutlery store during the 80s. She was a young, slim, petite, pretty woman with a high-pitched voice, and so people would always underestimate her... until she'd demonstrate her balisong-flipping skills. She was fast, could flip two of the knives around at once, and could hold a conversation while doing it.

Watching peoples' reaction to that was fun. And she sold a LOT of knives that way.

When I was about her age, I found a discarded butterfly knife in my yard. My sister and I would do just what she did, mindlessly flipping it open and shut with ease while watching TV. We got pretty good at it until my mom took it away for some reason. Good times! 😂
