My brother gave me a gourmet goody basket decades ago which included "Indian Red" popcorn kernels. My husband and I have been enjoying it (or jewel varieties) ever since. Nothing else as good. Really.!

We grew this and even though it's tougher to eat, it's still tasty when eaten off the cob. Nice and carby 😄 makes good popcorn too.

Glass gem corn is not a strain of rainbow corn. Each kernel has a different ancestor. which means that every time you grow glass gem corn, you are planting several colors if flint corn together and the pollen from each color is landing on corn silks and making a rainbow stalk again and again. it's not one strain that makes the cob rainbow. it takes every color being planted again and again.

I have to wonder what the rainbow gem corn would look like when it's ground. I can't imagine it would still be all rainbowy, it would probably look just a bit muddled.
