Shiva as Samhara represents not just destruction but contraction, aligning with the Big Crunch Theory. The Mandukya Upanishad describes how, at the end of a cosmic cycle, Sheshnag coils back, marking the Night of Brahma. The Vedas reveal that countless Brahmas have perished, proving that creation is an eternal cycle, not a one-time event.

The practical meaning of Samhara for us humans is the annihilation of ignorance of the true nature of our existence. We are unbounded intelligence and bliss, which can be experienced through natural and effortless meditation techniques such as Transcendental Meditation.
