Love a good day-trip to Oamaru! Always used to stop on the way home from Christchurch for my daughter to have a run around the park and have a coffee - such a beautiful spot, and glad you both discovered it! 🤗❤

I was there on the day you filmed. Yes, it’s a stunning little town - and there’s another penguin colony further around the headland (of Hoiho or yellow-eyes penguins rather than the Little Blue Penguins at the site you visited. Further around from there, accessible by road, is like upon mile of beautiful sandy beach… though the water is cold (but that beautiful turquoise blue)

It's a great small town. Scotts brewery is awesome. Steampunk is what the Victorians viewed the future would be. The history behind the steampunk hq is actually pretty interesting once you read into it. I would also suggest checking out the outlook and the gun emplacement if you get a chance
