The deal breaker of this cage is that it will not allow you to use the Neewer or Gizmon Wide-Angle/Macro lens with Extension tube. Otherwise an excellent cage. But I've had to return mine and get the slightly less capable SmallRig mounting plate which does not mount around the lens hood but rather screws onto the tripod mount threads.

Does this works with the Sony ZV-1 Tripod? Love that tripod and wish to be able to open the battery.

Great review! Does it have a place to attach a wrist strap for added protection? Aka I don't wanna drop it when I'm out and about 😂 I currently have the camera, but mostly use it in still shots rather than on the go

How does this compare in weight etc to the brackets that are just at the bottom? I have the UURig with and without the handle. Both are sturdy but very heavy, especially the one with the handle. Too heavy for me to vlog with

I like the cage, but frustrated by one thing - I can't find a small mini-handle that uses the Arri mounting pin. Ulanzi makes a handle (R008) with the arri connection, but it's really large. Same with the Smallrig. Both Ulanzi and Smallrig make "mini" top handles, but they connect to the hot shoe. I would prefer not having to connect a handle to the hot shoe. Any suggestions?

Great review. I prefer the non wood small rig. I don't like the wood look. And if I'm not mistaken; the small rig covers more of the camera for protection.
