Sky News host James Morrow has criticised a Canadian high school for systematically removing books that were published before 2008 to make its library more inclusive for students.

Erindale Secondary School in Mississauga has sparked outrage after removing nearly 50 per cent of books from its library to be more diverse and inclusive to students.

“If a book was published before 2008 which they’ve decided is the arbitrary cutoff point from where this sort of mystical years of diversity and equity and inclusion started to come into the library, well that’s out the window,” Mr Morrow said.

“So, all the classics of children’s literature are gone ... because it did not happen before the DEI revolution.

“This strikes me as incredibly sinister; how are kids to learn anything if they’re not allowed to read anything that was not published before 2008?”

When will all these dictating tyrants and traitors be round up and held to account. Someone really needs to be arrested and sent to jail.

Didn't a certain political party in the 1940s burn books? How is this different?

Inclusivity by removing stuff that doesn't suit the agenda... That makes total logical sense...

What about Shakespeare? I'm an English teacher and find this issue terribly sad.

Checking my shelves to make absolutely sure none of my kid's books were published AFTER 2008. Thanks for the heads up!😉

Give a hoot read a book- that being said I don’t think any book should be banned or censored.

Is this worse than banning smoking leaves?

That is what our local district was doing. Selling older books for .25 and bringing In strange new books

I can't attribute this quote, but here goes: He who controls the present, controls the past, and through that, shapes the future".

I was at the Stonnington Library in Melbourne recently and can say I noted a similar feel to the books now available. All a certain flavour. Who would have thought.. Woke central lol

Odd. Everything before Obama became president. Obama hates colonialism. What would Obama have to do with Canadian politics? You think him and Justin have a thing?
