Never heard about freebord before and I cannot believe how few views this has, it feels like such a professional video !

I managed to get a Freebord 5x with the IndieGoGo deck in 85 CM a couple of months ago. While it cost me $670 for everything, and my stepdad was beyond unhappy with me about it, it's the best thing I've spent my money on in a long time. The 5x has now become an extension of my legs, and I genuinely feel like I'm playing Sonic Riders in real life every time I ride down hills with this board! So while the person on Ebay that sold me the board paid for the campaign and may have their name on the board, the deck may as well have my name on it because I bought the board and have used it relentlessly ever since. There may be longboard riders that I occasionally run into here, but there's only one Freebord rider here in Portland, Oregon, and you're looking at him. 😊

I love Skateboarding and Snowboarding. I´ve heard about Freebords and thought "another gimmicky Funsport vehicle" but this review made me really interested. Thanks for that

That 5X is really a massive improvement for downhill cruising: transitions are so smooth that you can almost feel the powder! 🤩🤙

I had a freebord back in 2006, a year of riding it, i went on a snowboarding vacation and after about an hour of getting used to the changes, jumped through like 3 groups of snowboard lesson groups/ levels. Catching an edge on concrete while not very fun at all, teaches you very quickly how important your edges are, and to always be on one!

I designed and built the website for Freebord circa 2010-11. I was skateboarding by their office, saw the logo and just walked into the factory. Starting talking up the folks inside. One thing led to another and I ended up getting the gig to do the website hahah.

freeboard has been around since the early 2000s, I had one even back then with the caster wheels. the spring trucks are new design element.

Hey Easy! Nice video, as always! I've been following you for a while, and you were the main influence on me getting my 5X board! One question is that I don't see free borders traversing too much like you would when snowboarding; most go straight down and carve more like speed checks. Is it possible to carve side to side like you would on a snowboard?

Cheers!

Would be so sick if Redbull picked up on this and created some sick downhill sets around the world.

Hey, ive watched your video about the Summerboard. And i wanna know how you like the Bindings on the Freeboard. Like how standing on the board with those thingies on the left and right side and how turning and jumping is with them. (Btw that was a really good video and very helpful!)

Is that Sydney Gardens in Bath? I grew up in Bathampton, skating down the warminster road and then into the park and bombing down the hill manualing all the way round past the musuem, toilets and out the gates. My daily commute, I miss that so much!

the best part about snowboarding is that when you catch an edge, your body hits snow. this is the opposite.
