IMHO diablo's 4 choppy movement has to do with networking rather than gfx

I started having weird lag/rubberbanding problems with D4 about a week ago and couldn't figure out what was up. The game worked fine for me going all the way back to the free beta/demo.
But setting my framerate to 400 and turning off Vsync (two things that seemed really counter intuitive to me) worked.

This video really only applies to people with older/weaker systems like a 3050/2060 cards or worse. Id say most of the lag in the game is from bad servers/network issues for 90% of people.

I ve been having stutter issues recently just all of a sudden.Running an rtx 3060 laptop. Been playing the game since release and no issues with default settings.2k resolution, high settings, dlss to quality and got a good framerate too. But the game suddenly starts to stutter 4 times at around every minute. This happened during beta as well and after trying to fix some issues just watching you tube videos eventually i did a format on my pc. After formatting everything was perfect and smooth for 2 weeks and stutter happened again. Any help? Changing graphics settings doesnt help.

You will NEVER want to set the max FPS at max.. If you have a modern monitor keep it at around the refresh rate of the monitor (e.g. 144 / 165). This is to avoid FPS spikes, spiking up or down can affect gameplay too, and obviously if you have it set to max 400 fps, thats bad.

I played in the closed beta and never had this kind of stuttering and lag. I changed that max fps thing and it helped for now.

It's sad that I had little to no issues with the closed beta. We who played did our best to make suggestions and submit bugs, and it seems like the dev team just ignored it and looked concerned when people recommended the same things in open beta and live.

why did you set max foreground fps to the maximum of 400? does this create more issues? shouldnt you lower the max fps?

Thx i will try that.. Actually i have the same gfx card as you show.. just the menu is a bit different.
I preformed all the steps in game and on windows as well.

jesus i have a 5800x3d and a 4080, and still have major lag .why would i put my settings to low lmao. mite as well play on my 10 yr old lap top

Vsync has no option for 'Adaptive' . Only global, 3d, on, off and fast... (running a 3070 Ti with latest drivers)

Diablo 4 fps drops when opening map = turn off hardware-accelrated GPU scheduling(windows 10/11).
My HW: RTX 4080 and AMD 7800X3D
