I was trying to decide between Captain plugin, Orb producer and Waveform.
In the end it was a simple choice. Only one of these worked natively on Mac, Windows and Linux and was an actual DAW. It was a similar price to the other two and I got it in a sale. What a bargain.

IMHO, the more Waveform vids on youtube, the more Waveform will get marketed as an excellent innovating DAW.

It's important that Tracktion shows itself more, thus having more chance to make Waveform more seen by DAW users and thus, making it problaby a more popular DAW.

Waveform is Awesome to me. Moved to it after a 3 month review of DAWs when Cakewalk went down. The power of RACKS makes it more flexible and more a capable tool for using MIDI Effects like PluginBoutique Scaler, Captain Chords, Kirnu Cream, Cthulhu.

The ability to EASILY chain these together, using a single track to host them, and store this configuration chain as a recallable preset, is unparelleled. Try running Scaler MIDI into Cream and arpeggiating it, and you've got a monster tool for creativity and inspiration.

Waveform's chord track make tools like CHORD POTION (VST) and any Arpeggiator, very powerful tools.

This Software offers more than FL studio, secondly, in fact, it is far ahead and more professional that FL. But this software is a Cubase clone. The cord pads ideal does exactly whats cords pads in Cubase do. Automation, etc But its a good idea to implement whats seem to be useful. i like it.

I figured out how to fix the pattern generator preset lists of chords presets, bass presets and another set being in those lists twice. I had to find and delete an extra set with (2) in the file names out of the folder in Appdata. So, the question changes to: how did an extra set land in the folder and get auto-renamed with (2)?

Mmm you've got my attention. Ableton user for the last 10 years maybe. I will download to see if this can be added in some way into my workflow or even take over. Biggest question is controller compatibility. I own a Ableton Push controller. If I can find a way to make it work in Waveform *mindblown*. Rewire maybe?

Looks cool but I wouldn't switch to any new daw unless it had something akin to a SESSION view mode like Ableton or Bitwig. Plus of course compatibility with launchpad hardware etc...

Why you can't modyfing existing midi file? I would like to have an option to use arp on my existing already created melody, but when I add pattern generator to that line, everything is wipeout...
