This song was written in 1931.Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Count Basie, and Frank Sinatra all did covers of this great song. Now Sangah Noona has added her own brilliant rendition and improvisation on this classic song. A ninety year old song in fact and Sangah makes it sound as fresh as a daisy in bloom whilst respecting the essence of the original. The way the right hand bounces and dances around that walking base line is fantastic. There almost feels like there are two players performing. A New Orleans vibe shines through in places and the phrasing is breath taking. This performance offers pure class and fun and yes the two can co-exist. An outstanding cover to savor.

I’ve said this before on another video of yours: you remind me a lot of Dave McKenna, especially the left hand. You can take that as a very nice compliment. He was a very talented and accomplished pianist.

There are so many inventions in Sangah's renditions. The falling scale in chords at 1:10, for instance. And then variations on it every few measures. Nobody needs to realize that, much less understand how she did it, to enjoy her performance; but that artistry is a gift that I admire.
