Industry Collaboration to Move Up the Semiconductor Value Chain: Workshop

Показать описание
AIBP co-hosted a working group with Arm & A*STAR Institute of Microelectronics under the theme of "Capturing the Semiconductor Value Chain Opportunity".
An insightful panel session discussing "Industry Collaboration to Move Up the Semiconductor Value Chain" between Shean Chung, Director, ARM Korea, Kafai Leung, Director Institute of Microelectronics, A*STAR, Kwen Siong Chong, PhD, Director of Engineering, Zero-Error Systems (ZES) Pte Ltd (ZES) Technologies, explored whether the collaboration between government agencies, academic institutions, and startups can ignite effective research and development in the semiconductor design industry in Singapore.
This was followed by an insightful case study from the ARM's team on their future technologies in the industry and how ARM Flexible Access (AFA) can support local universities and the startup ecosystem in their respective journeys. The knowledge-sharing session, including leaders across local Singapore semiconductor IC design startups, associations, and academia, is a starting point to pave the way for more discourse towards developing the regions chip design and fabrication industry on top of ASEAN's existing contribution to the electronics and electrical (E&E) value chain.
