You know better than me that most inventors think that the invention they have developed is brilliant and will change the world.... but in most cases, if not 99 out of a hundred, this is far from the case, unfortunately. Every client of chatgpt has access to your data in one form or another
This is problematic for writers as you create characters and plotlines etc that are partially yours, partially other authors who inspired chatgpt and will feed other people in the future since your work is an input to someone else's required outlook.
By default, everything produced by chatgpt is a derivative work, and how does this work with IP laws seems not to have been tackled
