just bought a maxx v2 a month or so ago. i'm already having to pour a bunch of aluminum into it because i broke a bunch of stuff in a really bad crash. both bulkheads, the steering bell cranks, front chassis brace, caster blocks, and steering blocks. as well as the rear stub-axle carriers since they're coming in a kit with the front suspension bits. as well as a full set of steel drive shafts.
i just got back into this hobby after like 10 years and it's already gotten a bit expensive lol. i probably shouldn't have started back out with such a fast truck but oh well.
anyway. i'm flabbergasted that nobody makes a sway bar kit for this truck. i scoured the internet looking for one and all i could find was one for the x-maxx.
i may just be stuck having to fiddle with the suspension like you say here to help it not flip over as much.

This basic formula worked incredible on my x maxx. I also slightly limited shock travel to add to what you did. My xmaxx felt more like a truggy than an mt. Next time your inside those shocks, throw 2 or 3 mm of spacers in and try it👍

I did your first set up with the Bluetooth module, then added widemaxx kit had 80 shock oil and made shock limiters with fuel tube! It handles great on asphalt.... Great video as always👊🏽

Awesome vid. Excellent option instead of investing more $$$ into an already $expensive$ RC. I bet there's alot of folks kicking themselves right now for purchasing the widemaxx kit and the steel driveshaft.

What battery connector does Traxxas use on the MAXX? Is it TRX.
Is it possible to use non traxxas lipo batteries without having to cut and solder a different connector on the car or battery? Won't this void the warranty?

Diff fluid heavier. Seems like every rc truck needs it . So when that tire comes up it won't take all the power. Making it want to lift up more plus truck starts to push its self over.

Just installed rear widemaxx springs on front and rear. This seems to work pretty good.

@razor rc, nice solution, so if we order another set of shocks for off road, than just changing the shocks would be enough to drive on/off road ?

Sway bars are probably under 30 bucks, and helps a lot.

if you go a slightly lighter oil and remove about half the thread on the rear shocks will help a little more.... Some very good tips on the Maxx there I am so close to sayin hell with it and buyin one I drive my mates Maxx its quite the fun truck!! We also found that if you spray just a slight mist of WD40 on the tires she glides and runs better on concrete and Cheers
