In todays video I'll take you through the costs of an LS Swap in 2023. This swap retails at about $12k (brand new parts). I think a swap can be done for as little as $5k in 2023.

This swap is an LFA 6.0L engine in a 1993 ford mustang. The swap method will be similar in cost for most rear wheel drive vehicles.

Good work good video my Guy. Just did my LS swap on my Foxbody. I left my stock oil pan on the 6.0 drop right in. Good video 👍

I did my LS swap foxbody 4 years ago, and it is very close to what you did. I will be pulling the 5.3, and replacing with a LQ9. Definitely looking to clean up the engine bay, and adding AC.

I just wanna make 300 hp in a foxbody to use as a daily driver. I don’t want a cam that lopes and doesn’t ride good on the street. I want a speedy lightweight cruiser that I can actually open up the throttle and use and not be holding back all the time. Also most builds go for that loud choppy v8… I want a quiet yet powerful and smooth purring sound. Not sure if I can get it very quiet without hurting horsepower. But I wanna make between 300-350hp. Maybe a mild street cam. I know I could get similar numbers on an ecoboost 2.3 and that’ll get better mileage too, but I feel the ls swap is somehow cheaper and easier and also possibly more reliable despite costing more in fuel.

If you are trying to do an ls swap on a budget I highly suggest checking out the driveway engineer on here. He has done multiple swaps for insanely cheap and he’s never nice to them

Cheapest way to do a LS swap is to be a Chevy guy and have parts laying around lol… people say they do it cheap but leave out they have a block and heads sitting in their garage for 10 years 😂
