This is the first time I've taken an active interest in the process of a Pope's illness and (possible) death. Pope Francis is a very, very good man who has devoted his life and his work to us as members of his Church. Pope Francis deserves our love and prayers.
The conclave process will be so interesting to witness, whether or not it happens in the near future. May the participants in the conclave work creatively and prayerfully. May God bless their work.

PRAYING THAT GOD will HIMSELF CHOOSE THE NEXT POPE

During the 1978 election cardinal sin from Philippines mention to his priests and one of that priest is my good friend and told me that cardinal sin told them that during the voting to elect the new pope inside the Sistine chapel a halo appeared on top of the head of then cardinal luciani later on became John Paul 1. The cardinals acknowledged the the Holy spirit and voted for luciani.

Why is anyone upset about discussing this while Pope Francis is critically ill? Is after a person dies the most appropriate time to discuss his will and affairs? Should you be fortunate enough to forsee a loved one's demise, would you not prepare your heart for their departure as it draws near?

As Pope, he wants The Church to be taken care of and prepared. We should know what to expect, to the extent that we can, to avoid conflict and despair, so we can properly move forward.

It's not like we're discussing who gets the silverware and stripping the draperies off the walls.

Heavenly Father, have mercy on your servant, Pope Francis. Please, allow him to recover. Should You call him into the next life, please don't allow him to suffer long in this world. Please, grant grace to all those caring for him. Dwell within and compel our cardinals, with the Holy Spirit, to act with wisdom and integrity. All according to Your perfect will, in the name of Jesus Christ.
