Complex Variables (Lecture 21): The Open Mapping and Maximum Modulus Theorems

We present several fundamental results about holomorphic functions. The open mapping theorem shows that complex differentiable functions carry open sets to open sets. This quickly leads to the realization that the modulus of holomophic functions is not taken in the interior of its domain.
