Words of Love - Buddy Holly - Instro cover by Dave and Dave

Here is my version of "Words of Love" recorded before I had my heart attack and triple bypass. I can't play guitar again yet or spend long on P.C. Sorry. Dave
"Words of Love" is a song written by Buddy Holly and recorded by him on April 8, 1957. Holly harmonized for himself, by tape-recording each part and combining them.
The song was also covered by The Beatles on the album Beatles for Sale.
John Lennon and Paul McCartney, who were fans of Holly, harmonized on their version, holding to the vocal and instrumental sound of Holly's original as well as they could.
Here is my version using a brilliant backing track from Luca (phpdev67).

I first heard of Buddy when I was 14 I'm now 81, I still remember the day after he died when at a friends home I was told he had died in a plane crash, I just would not believe it until I saw the news paper with the details, I came across this video by accident and cant stop playing it just like when I bought Buddy's records, I often wonder what he would have made of todays Rap- crap, thanks Dave for making the music live on.

Thank you SO MUCH for making this! I think it's a GREAT version, very tasteful. Buddy Holly became my favorite performer when he was still alive and very truthfully, that has never changed. When i consider creativity, originality, 'musicality', vocal talent, guitar playing, and songwriting, I don't know anyone who's come very close. He started with a blank page and created rock and roll. Your performance is in respectful tribute to his legacy. Thank you.
