Light damages wine. How does someone who’s building a 40 million dollar home not know this? Yet we continue to see these “wine cellars” exposed to sunlight.

I personally did all of the structural drawings for the pools, spa, and water features. The original design of the house and entry, although beyond excessive for the neighborhood, was much more elegant and refined. The developers who took over the property went, shall we say, in a completely different direction. After years of effort with multiple redesigns, it's nice to see the finished result, but extremely disappointing knowing what could have been.

I bet this is the first and last time we see someone walking around in socks advertising a $40M home to potential customers.
As soon as your guests enter your property, they must remove their shoes to avoid scratching the glass floors. Then, you must instruct ladies in dresses to ensure no one stands below the glass before they can cross the bridges.

The steps up and down into each of the rooms is a massive deal breaker to me. The house has a bachelor vibe to me but you could never have parties here because the people would be tripping on the steps everywhere, especially if they manage to get a drink at that tiny bar. You'd have multiple lawsuits for every party.

Dear Arvin, aside from the horrible architecture, if back in late 1970's when I was a student at New York School of Interior Design, I presented this contemporary project to my professors for grading, I wouldn't have only received a failing grade but probably advised to quit and find another profession. Much has changed since then. Children of wealthy parents with zero artistic skills and no aspiration or intellect for a career in business, science or law, say to themselves why not I'll get a degree in ID and my family and their friends will help open the doors; unfortunately schools accept them!
