During the speech, although I was certainly thrilled to hear that only male and female would be recognized, I was still wishing that Trump had said "sexes" instead of "genders." Then I was very pleased to see the actual text of the order defining all of these terms, clarifying the distinctions, and ordering federal agencies to use "sex" rather than "gender."
