I’m a 50 yo woman and don’t walk around town centres in micro skirts getting drunk. And even I’ve been harassed. I was told women shouldn’t whistle by a presumably subcontinental Muslim garage attendant (I continued to whistle loudly), I’ve been openly leered at, followed and 1 guy on the Tube stared at me while fondling himself. Oh another guy was called out on the Tube by a woman who spotted he was attempting to surreptitiously take photos of me. None of these things were reported to authorities so imagine the scale. We need to stop being so British and polite and rediscover our less polite Viking and Norman heritage.
