Excellent video and good explanation and you are right when we ask someone to do something for us. We have to do it in a polite way. WOULD YOU MIND + VERB IN ING-FORM is the structure we have to use with this expression. Whenever I explain this structure to my students I Explain them the ing-form after this expression. Thank you very much for all your wonderful videos that are helping a lot of students around the world.

Hi Becca thanks for the video, another important polite request I would like to mention is, I lived in Wales for many years and people in here prefer to say : ''Can I have a cup of Latte please'' when they ordering in the coffee shops whereas when I went to London, people rather say : ''I want a cup of latte'' which is not wrong but... :)
