The origin of the fake Windows 1.0 Startup sound

This is how the fake Windows 1.0 startup sound is made. Actually , it is high pitch shifted and slowed down version of the first few seconds of Windows 95 startup sound. The high pitch shifted
of Windows 95 startup sound that you hear in this video is slightly different because the sound has been added effects and slightly slowed down.

Windows 1.0 will never have sounds as the .wav file didn't exist on 1985 and it is impossible to install a sound driver in Windows 1.0.

I honestly didnt expect that Windows 1.0 was just a pitched version of 95 startup. I thought it was from a console like Commodore 64 or NES or an old computer

Glad to have an explanation for what the origin of this is! I was puzzled by it.
I was a bit surprised to find a sound was included for Windows 1.0 (and 2.0, and 3.0), in a compilation of Windows startup sounds. I thought I'd see a caption of "no startup sound", and some silence. Instead there was an odd bleep, that I speculated they may have gotten by micing their system speaker while booting up, and just calling that the startup sound for Windows 1.0, even though that hardly made sense to call it that.

And .wav files were never a thing till August 1991.

I didn't know that! That is really cool. At least we know the origin of the sound now :) Keep up the good work man!

The same fake startup came from Windows 3.0. The fake 3.0 startup is a segment of the Windows 95 Startup sound, but it's slightly pitched, not like Windows 1.0 one.

The actual origin of the fake Windows 1.0 Startup sound is actually named Windows Never Released 8 by Aqwert76.

That’s amazing and very interesting. I must tell Windows Content YouTubers about this and send them a link to this video!

Wow. I guess someone online thought that in their world they would give them startup sounds when they don't originally. To make it sound 80s ish.
