I had an european model 1 but unfortunatelly the laser on the reader just gave out...so I bought a few months ago a "brand new" model 2. The Saturn just might be my favourite console ever. I have Shining Force III, Dragon Force and Saturn Bomberman, just some of the best games ever made. Thank you Sega!

I had one of these some years ago when I was desperate to play Policenauts at any cost. I also bought it with the hope of eventually being able to play Radiant Silvergun, but it always remained well above a price I was willing to spend. I think I paid around $180 when I bought it back then. Can't imagine what they must run for now.

The white Japanese Saturn is basically a test run for the Dreamcast styling just like the 3d controller was for the Dreamcast controller.  The round buttons, and the red button in the middle was replaced with the red light.

The Dreamcast is actually designed after this white model Saturn, which is cool, I guess.

On eBay, at least, a Japanese Saturn is currently cheaper then an American one.  Sounds crazy, but it's true!  And there are ways to play American Saturn games on a Japanese Saturn.
