Smoked and Grilled Pizza in the Pit Barrel Cooker
Grilled Pizza in the Pit Barrel Cooker is an awesome way to cook a pizza. The flavors that the ingredients get from the smoke is amazing! This recipe is one of my favorites and is the easiest to make.
*** Grilled Pizza in the Pit Barrel Cooker Recipe ***
Recipe -
1 Pre made Pizza Dough - 14 inches
4 oz Pizza Sauce
1 cup Cooked Chicken Breast
1/2 cup Chopped Red Onion
1/2 cup Chopped Green Bell Pepper
1/4 cup Bacon Bits
1 1/4 cup Mozzarella Cheese
1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese
4 tablespoons Melted Garlic Butter
Start your Pit Barrel Cooker 20 minutes before you make the pizza.
While the cooker is warming up. Put the sauce on your pizza dough.
Sprinkler on your ingredients, I am using chicken, red onion, bacon bits and green bell pepper.
To add a little extra flavor, I like to drizzle a little garlic butter around the edges and over the pizza. I like to finish it off with just a little more cheese on the top.
Now that the Pit Barrel is ready and the pizza is made, let’s put the rack in and place the pizza stone on the rack.
You could place the pizza directly on the rack. I would do this if the pizza was a take and bake or a frozen premade pizza.
Close the lid and in about 20 minutes the pizza will be ready.
It’s been about 20 minutes, let's check on the pizza. We are looking for the cheese to be melted and the crust to be brown.
This pizza looks done! Lift it out Cooker and let it cool for 5 minutes. Then slice it and enjoy!
