Mainoo needs to be given the Rodri Job, hes ended one Rodri unbeaten streak with city he can end his unbeaten run with Spain.

Also, if Spain decided to maintain the same positional structure in possession, it could drop Olmo on the left wing, since it could be that Cucurella maintains vigilance on his wing and Morata falls to receive the ball. Spain would quickly change direction and place centers at the far post

If it were up to you; would you start a transition threat instead of Foden?

Where would you say is the biggest mismatch on the pitch is: Saka vs Cucarella, Yamal vs Tripper, Rice vs Rodri or maybe you have another?

I hope ENG don't win due to the arrogance of some fans and media. They talk about 66 like it was yesterday.

I agree with you that stepping back in low block would be the worst decision from England. In my opinion, they don't have quick counter attack players (except Saka) who can punish Spain going really upfront like France did really well in first 15 minutes of their game. So I would say that the key is going to be in, will England manage to play good quality high press on Spain, if yes, they can do a lot of damage because I believe Spain's defence is their weakest part of the team (minus Carvajal), especially Cucurella, but on the other hand, if Spain manages to take the control in the middle and push England slowly and safely to their own third...it's over for England. Having that said, do you think Southgate will be brave enough to try to put Spain against pressure? England did show some glimpses of more attacking intent in the last two games, but Swiss and Dutch are different teams than this Spain is. If that gives you any more optimism, my team (Croatia) despite horrible result showed that there are pretty serious weaknesses in that spanish team when you put them under pressure, and also in their defensive transition. It should be a great match for sure, stylistically two different teams who both like to have control in posession.

I don't think Spain is going to press high when England has the ball, they are going to prevent Bellingham and Foden from having space to receive the ball and turn, they are going to do what they did against Germany

Faced with England's 5-4-1 low block, Spain will change its positional game. They will adopt the 3-1-5-1 with Cucurella and Carvajal giving a lot of width, Rodri dropping to the line of three centre-backs, generally to the side to avoid being marked by Kane and both Lamine and Nico Williams playing more inside. This will generate superiority and an overload of 3 vs 2 in the center and if one of the English external centre-backs decided to jump, a space would be generated

I’ll be suprised if Shaw starts. He’s played 30mins in 4 months.
Can’t see England keeping the ball well enough to get Cucurella isolated. They will end up sat back on the edge of their own box.
Also don’t think this England defence has been properly tested. They’ve only played against physical forwards which suits English defenders, Spain will be IQ, pace, skill.

Germany had enough to win the Euros. Performed better than ENgland that should have been the final game.

It is not really our style to be brave.
