Hundreds of people celebrated Mexican Independence Day with fireworks and caravans in downtown Chicago overnight.

Sorry, its arrogant and disrespectful. Today is America's Constitution Day. As an American - And especially as a Veteran, I will respect Mexicans as individuals, but the hell with Mexico and Mexican independance day (small letters on purpose).
If Mexican independance is so important to Mexican immigrants, why are they in this country? Do they not want to be American?

I have a suggestion to make Mexican Independence a real thing. The U.S. has at least 11 million illegal immigrants. What if they all banded together into militia, asked the U.S. for arms (that has to be cheaper than all the services they are costing us now), and went into Mexico to do battle with the drug cartels and corrupt politicians? That way, independence and pride of country would mean something.
