As for mythics, the devs could simply implements a counter for each tormented boss you defeat solo, so that you are guaranteed a mythic drop for each, as an example, 20th solo win. The counter then resets when a mythic drops. It's completely stupid that some players have +50 tormented boss wins and yet zero mythic drops.

Like any item in D4, RNG with the applicable % Drop Rate determines your success. There's no "magic system" that ensures you'll get a Mythic Unique (Or any drop for that matter). That's ridiculous. I've had 50 runs where I've gotten 3 and 50 runs where I've got Zero. Your only chance is to play a lot - that's it.

Might just be a coincidence on beast in ice because the same was said about zir last season and many of us did 50+ runs with 0 drops.

The hoards tier 6 also drops Stygian stones from the material chests. Have gotten a lot from that tier.

For some reason every season so far when I start Uber unique farming on my sorc the first drops I usually get are spear of lycander or heart of selig. Not complaining since they become a spark for me but rng is strange. Meanwhile players will get a shako from a tier 50 nightmare dungeon or ring of starless skies from a helltide Lol.

As a solo player I've never been able to kill a tormented boss, just too strong

Sad that even blizzards math is wrong. If each drop from an uber boss is 1.5% chance to be an uber and they drop 5 items, that's actually only a 7.3% chance for a mythic per boss. Even after 15 uber boss kills you'll only have roughly a 67.8% chance to get a mythic.

I've yet to kill a tormented boss and given that I play solo and also have a full time job, don't see that one changing any time soon. But not a critique of your videos, which are always solid.

I've been playing a ton this season with some friends, and my Rogue friend has gotten 5 or 6 mythic drops, and I have gotten zero, same boss kills, dozens of tormented boss kills. It feels really bad for him to be decked out, and me to not be at this point.

The RNG is funky, just look at tempering. There are videos of people getting the same tempers 5 times in a row 😢 how!? This however explains why i seen in comments, 1 guy got 1 uber per 20 duriel kills, but the others got 200, 300, 350 duriel kills and got nothing. When RNG shits on you, you no longer playing the game, you are the one thats getting played.
