Love your updates! I think for your porcelain sweater (which I’ve also been obsessing over!) the red contrast colour would be absolutely beautiful! And since you don’t wear a lot of red, it’s a nice pop of colour without being an all over red garment

I know I already commented twice, but my advice on steeking is to knit a swatch that’s about 10 x 10 and for the Center 3 inches knit as if that is where your steel will be. Then once you so down either side, you can take a deep breath and cut into it a couple of inches from top toward the bottom. If it doesn’t seem like it’s holding, then you can adjust your technique. This way you won’t have fear of ruining your actual garment. This is how my grandma taught us.

The red it’s a nice contrast and it’s warm and looks good next to your face.

Just found your channel. I get when you say you just want to knit all day. So many projects so little time. I think I will call my handknit socks "snocks" from now on LOL

I think the red would be gorgeous in the porcelain sweater! It has really nice contrast. I also have the Agnete Cardigan on my list but I’ve never knit brioche. I’m finishing up a summer project and then it’s all wool for me too. 🙂 I’ve never steeked, but heard practicing on a swatch is really helpful.

Big yes to red wine color with porcelain sweater 🎉 I can imagine this sweater could be rich, elegant but still cosy. Perfect for Christmas season one event on Valentine day ❤

I think the red would look amazing for the porcelain sweater, I’m worried the green wouldn’t be enough of a contrast to make that beautiful pattern pop out!

I have done steeking, and it turned out great. Don't worry about it. Just watch some tutorials before and you will be fine. Chris

The color work sweater is my vote!!! That traditional design is so beautiful and classic and timeless.

The red would look good as a contrast color! and since you don't use a lot of red it would be a cool way to incorporate that yarn you bought, on a project ☺

I've steeked a copy of cardigans. My tips are to crochet the areas around the steeked row before cutting anything (tutorials are out there for visuals), I crocheted one leg from either side of two neighboring stitches. after blocking, the steeked area lays flat, then I used some thrifted velvet ribbon that coordinated on the button attaching side to sew through for added stability.

Colour work! And red over green - or make two. My friend came to borrow my m/c to steek her sweater...A first for both of us. SO many helpful YouTube tutorials. It was easy peasy (albeit risk free for me), and now I am inspired.

I visited the PNW for a month June-July. I loved it! Fiber arts, knitting, weaving and spinning are in abundance. My favorite knitting shop was Hazel Knits in Seattle with her own hand dyed yarns. The weather was wonderful even though, living in the east coast, everyone talks about the rain. We experienced only a few showers and foggy mornings which are common on our coast too. I can’t wait to return and go to a fiber festival! Love your podcast!

Regarding the decreases on your sleeve: i think it makes sense to not decrease around your elbow-- there is so much movement in that joint and a little elbow room ;) is probably for the best! I love that you trusted your intuition on this!

I would definitely vote for the colorwork sweater! I'm making a different thepetiteknitter sweater and it's just so fun and well written! And the red is great, I loved knitting the Porcelain Sweater :)

First-time viewer here. I'm also in the PNW near Olympia WA. I am knitting my first steeked cardigan called the Laura Jacket by Camilla Vad. I'm excited for the finished product. My vote is the red yarn for your sweater.

Steeking is easy!! You can either hand stitch or machine stitch your reinforcing lines. I have done both and results were great

I got that same color of Eddie Bauer line but I got the finger weight cotton. It's turned out beautiful so far, so fingers crossed the wool is just as nice! 💚

Hi! Just found your lovely podcast! I vote for the gorgeous red for the porcelain sweater - I think that would look lovely with other green knits as accessories!
